About the Genealogist
I am Lisa Kauppinen and I have been researching genealogy for 23 years and doing genetic genealogy for 7 years. It's not work if you love what you do.
I currently live in Florida with my husband, children, dogs, and cats. When I am not researching, I love to fish, go to the beach, and live life to it's fullest.
Why I Started Researching Genealogy
My paternal grandparents, Archibald Barron and Irma Peterson are why I started researching 23 years ago.
I never knew my grandfather as he passed in 1972 when I was 2 weeks old. I wanted to know more about him and who he came from.
My grandmother wanted to know more about her father as he passed 3 months before she was born. Unfortunately, she passed before I found the information to share with her.
